SAG Awards 2011 Fashion Recap

The hottest celebs walked the red carpet on the 17th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, held on the 30th of January.
Stars of the big and the small screen stunned in glamorous designer gowns and precious jewelry, sliding on stylish sky-high heels. Most of our favorite starlets looked fabolous in spring designs and gorgeous make-up. As always, there were some less fortunate looks, but overall the fashion chices at the awards were a success.
The beauties who showed off their growing baby bumps, including Natalie Portman and Jane Krakowski, did surprisingly well and managed to look chic.

  •    Fashion Trends: embellishments, nudes and whites, flowy strapless dresses.
  •    Top Designers: Oscar de la Renta, Monique Lhuillier, Fendi.
  •    Beauty Trends: sleek updos, plauful weavy hair, softly smoked eyes, nude lips.

The 10 Best:

Tina Fey looked flawlessly stylish in a strapless red dress by Oscar de la Renta. The flowers on the fabric  made the look especially feminine and interesting.

Heather Morris was a vision in a gorgeous nude gown by Romona Keveza. The dress almost prefectly matches the Glee cutie's skintone and combined with ner natural makeup and golden locks takes this look to the top in our list.

January Jones takes a break from Versace wearing a stunning gold-and-black Carolina Herrera creation. Her  slender  and tall frame are perfect for this luxurious dress.

Lea Michele once again shows her love for nude-colored, low-cut designs in this beautiful Oscar de la Renta dress .The skinny belt she paired it blends almost seamlesly, adding just the right touch of definition, and the shiny bracelet flatters the gown's own shine.

Julia Stiles rocks the gradient trend with this black-to-white Monique Lhuillier dress. It definately captures our attention with its high contrast, creating the illusion of actual glow. The matching grey nail polish won us over.

The Good Wife Julianna Margulies was remarkably elegant in a flowy red dress by Yves Saint Laurent. Very clean yet beautiful look, proving that less is often more.

The Black Swan Mila Kunis was red-hot in a multi-layer Alexander McQueen dress. The beauty looked fierce and made the wise decesion to skip the accessories - the gown shines bright enough by itself.

Natalie Portman proves that a baby bump doesn't equal a red carpet disaster. Her white Azzaro is glamorous and suits Natalie's belly perfectly. The black clutch and sandals add just the right contrast into the look.

Jayma Mays left us speechless in this gorgeous Jenny Packham  dress. The Glee redhead looked beautiful in the soft peach-coloured gown and showed just a classy bit of fer leg, wearing strappy silver heels that suited the look.

The bright young True Grit star Hailee Steinfeld is lovely in a modified dress from Prada's Spring 2011 collection. The starlet's choice was fresh and age-appropriate with an undeniable dose of style.

Worst Dressed

A much as we love Jane Lynch, her Ali Rahimi is a classic example of bad fabric plus prom-dress design.
Mariska Hargitay didn't have much luck with her simple shapeless dress, resembling a big purple umrella.

Feathers are lovely and so is baby pink, but this Monique Lhuillier dress can be pulled off  only by someone like Dakota Fanning. Angie Harmon would look much better in something darker, less sweet and more grown-up.

The gorgeous Christina Hendricks fails to impress with this unflattering L’Wren Scott tuxedo robe dress from Fall 2010. The design does nothing for her curves though the deep green contrasts beautifully with her pale skin.

Helena Bonham Carter's look is rather boring and outdated. Her Marc Jacobs dress plus that hair makes us feel sorry for her bad stylist.

Jenna Fischer fails to choose a belly-friendly dress with this silver Fendi. It is too shapeless and does nothig to flatter her bump.

Paz de la Huerta is triple miss - the brown lipstick, the too long sequined dress and the pointed shoes are just too much to bear.
